So what is a Naturopath?

A Naturopath is a health practitioner who natural therapies to encourage and promote the body's natural self-healing mechanisms. Illness does not occur without cause and as a Naturopath I will focus on the underlying cause of your condition, rather than trying to merely eliminate or suppress symptoms.

Who is it for?

Conditions that Naturopathy may assist include....

• digestive complaints - bloating, burping, candida, constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence, IBS

• fertility, prenatal, pregnancy and postnatal health

• reproductive health - endometriosis, lowered libido, menopause, PMS, PCOS

• skin conditions – acne, eczema and psoriasis

• stress management – anxiety, insomnia, low mood, nervous tension

• energy rebalancing - erratic energy or fatigue

• immune support – frequent colds and coughs

• hormone imbalance – adrenal stress, insulin resistance, thyroid imbalance

You may be feeling quite well, but at different life stages; infancy, childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, pregnancy, parenthood, mid-life and the retirement years – you have different nutritional needs. I can check if your diet is right for you to promote and maintain long-term wellness.

About me

I am a fully qualified Naturopath, Nutritional Therapist and Eating Psychology Coach with a passion for helping people optimise their health and heal their body, mind and soul.

I first became interested in natural health whilst working as a magazine Beauty & Wellbeing Editor. By the time I returned from a sabbatical travelling around the world I was hooked.

Whilst traveling I was able to see just how far from nature we have drifted. In most of the other countries I travelled through the food that was eaten was locally grown or reared, so seasonal and wonderfully fresh and flavorsome. Pre-packaged food just wasn’t an option. I discovered delicious herbal teas, again made from fresh flowers and roots, and simply being outside all the time was so energising.

On returning to the UK I worked as a PR Director for a number of companies specialising in natural wellbeing and in 2006 enrolled at the College of Naturopathic Medicine to study Naturopathy and Nutritional Therapy, graduating in 2011

In 2017 I studied with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating to be come an Eating Psychology Coach and in 2018 completed the course 'Applying Intuitive Eating and Non-diet Approaches in Practice' with Laura Thomas PhD at The London Centre for Intuitive Eating.

I keep well-informed on advances made in my field by regularly attending seminars and through reading leading scientific journals. I am a member of the NNA (Naturopathic Nutrition Association).

As a Wife and Mum, to three young boys, I understand the challenges faced when trying to feed a family nutritionally balanced meals, whilst juggling the tasks of everyday living.
